Role Purpose/Summary
ClearSpace is looking for a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to advance core vision technologies across different programs. The role involves the design, development, verification, and validation of computer vision pipelines for active debris removal, in-orbit servicing, and life-extension for LEO and GEO missions.
Role Responsibilities
Contribute to the full lifecycle of computer vision pipelines, from design and development through verification and validation, across multiple missions.
Maintain, improve and extend the core computer vision software in C++.
Support the development and integration of vision algorithms on low-power, space-grade hardware
Contribute to the research & development of new technology for future missions using different types of sensors and platforms.
Document processes, designs, and test specifications to maintain high standards.
Must have
- Classical computer vision techniques and Deep Learning ( 6D object pose estimation, domain adaptation )
- Single and multi-view geometry, visual odometry, camera calibration, 3D reconstruction
- Strong software engineering skills in C/C++ and Python or Matlab for prototyping.
Nice to have
- A plus: physically based rendering, knowledge of radiometry and photometry concepts, FPGA development/integration (Xilinx Vitis/Vivado), embedded systems.
